1 cup chopped carrot
- 1 cup chopped celery
- 1/2 cup chopped parsley
- 1/2 cup chopped brown onions
- 1/2 cup chopped pumpkin or sweet potato
- 1/2 cup chopped broccoli
- 1/2 cup chopped cauliflower
- 1/2 cup fresh or frozen peas
- 2 cloves garlic
Directions
Put all the ingredients in a large saucepan and cover with water. Bring to the boil, then simmer for 30-40 minutes. Add fresh herbs to taste: a bay leaf, cumin or rosemary. If you find the soup is too bland, add some chicken stock. Add extra water to make the consistency to your taste. In winter months add turnips, zucchini, parsnip and brussels sprouts.
This is excellent for anyone following the liver and bowel detox.
